Reformation 500 - BOSTON day 2

The day was cold for the North Carolina crew, we are used to 90 degree days. Shea and Claire huddled with the Muse ladies to keep warm.

Shea and Claire were up front to listen to Mr. Dan Ford give his talk on the Old South Meeting Hall. We learned so much.

Claire started the day gazing out the window, as only a Claire Bear can. Hair waving in the breeze and joy radiating from her countenance. She is joyous to look at.

The Revere Bell

On Tuesday, our family went to First Presbyterian Church, a church that George Whitefield preached right outside of Boston along with our Friends the Browns, the Horns, and the Damings. We learned this bell was made by Paul Revere and put in the chuch. It was very interesting. In order to get up to the bell, we had to climb tight stair cases, walk past creaky floorboards, and step over broken stairs. When we got up to the bell, it was very chilly and foggy. It was a little scary being up so high!

Notice that these are the original rafters of the church built in the 1700's.
